Each Hamimi piece begins its journey in our Marrakech studio. Whether it’s travelling across the street or around the world, we take great care to ensure it reaches you smoothly.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about shipping, customs, and returns.

If you’re ordering from outside Morocco, your country’s customs authority may apply import taxes or duties to your shipment.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping Fees & Timelines:

We are pleased to offer free international shipping on retail orders over $500 USD or equivalent (excluding duties and taxes).

For orders below $500 the following flat rate shippings fees apply:

  • USA & Canada – $20 | 3–7 business days
  • Europe and the UK – $20 | 3–6 business days
  • Australia & NZ – $40 | 5–12 business days
  • Rest of World – $40 | 4–14 business days

Delivery times reflect shipping only and do not include order processing or production.

Order Processing & Delivery:

We ship worldwide via DHL Express - a fast, reliable service with full tracking and signature on delivery, so your Hamimi piece arrives safely, wherever you are.

Jewellery & Bags – Ready to Ship
Handmade in limited batches and held in stock, our jewellery and bags are typically dispatched within 1–5 business days—ready to send without delay.

Lamps – Handmade to Order
Each crochet lamp is crafted to order in our Marrakech studio. Production usually takes 1–3 weeks.

Mixed Orders – Shipped Together
If your order includes both ready-to-ship and made-to-order items, we’ll send everything together once the lamps are ready. This helps reduce cost, packaging, and our environmental footprint.

Import Tax & Duty

All orders ship from Morocco. Depending on your location, customs duties, VAT/GST, or import taxes may apply. These charges are set by your country’s customs authority and are not included in our prices or shipping fees.

DHL will contact you directly to confirm the amount and collect any applicable charges before delivery.

To avoid surprises, we recommend checking with your local customs office - or feel free to ask us for guidance.

If you're a VAT-registered business, you may be eligible to reclaim import VAT - please check with your local tax authority.

If a shipment is refused due to unpaid fees, the original shipping cost, return shipping, and a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from any refund.

General Import Guidelines:

To help estimate potential import fees, we've outlined typical thresholds and taxes for key regions below. These are general guidelines - actual charges may vary depending on your location, item type, and order value.

    Under $800 USD: Duty and tax-free
    Over $800 USD: May incur 10% duty due to recently introduced tariffs
  • Australia
    Under AUD $1,000: No duties or GST
    Over AUD $1,000: 5–10% duty + 10% GST
  • New Zealand
    Under NZD $1,000: Duty-free
    Over NZD $1,000: 5% duty + 15% GST
  • European
    Duty-free with Euro 1 certification. VAT applies (19–25% depending on the country)
  • United Kingdom
    Duty-free. VAT applies (20%)
  • Canada
    Duties and GST/HST apply
  • Rest of World
    Duties and taxes vary. Please check with your local customs authority.

Import fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your Hamimi piece. If you have any questions before ordering—whether it’s about colour, sizing, or styling—we’re always happy to help. Our goal is to make sure you feel confident and excited about your choice.

Return Policy:

Lamps - Each lamp is custom made to order in our Marrakech studio and, as such, is not eligible for return or exchange due to change of mind.

Jewellery & Bags - These items can be returned within 30 days of delivery if you change your mind.

  • A 20% restocking fee applies
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable
  • Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility

To begin a return, simply email us at hello@hamimidesign.com and we’ll guide you through the process depending on your location.

Refused Deliveries:

If a shipment is refused at delivery due to unpaid customs charges or any other reason, the original shipping cost, return shipping, and a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund.

Damaged or Faulty Items:

We stand by the quality of our handmade products. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund and cover the return shipping if required.
